Shanaz H. Chery MS, CHES
Public Health Professional and Advocate
Shanaz Chery, MS, CHES, was born in the republic of Trinidad and Tobago and migrated to the United States at the age of 8 years old. She earned a Bachelor of Science in Public Health from the City University of New York (CUNY) - Brooklyn College and a Master of Science in Health Communication for Social Change from CUNY Graduate School of Public Health and Health Policy. She is also a certified community health education specialist .

Ms. Chery's public health career spans almost 10 years with special focus on health communication, social determinants of health, health disparities, health equity, and social justice.
Currently, she is the Director of The Health Information Tool for Empowerment (HITE) a health and social service referral tool operated by Greater New York Hospital Association (GNYHA). GNYHA is a trade association representing more than 160 hospitals and health systems in New York, New Jersey, Connecticut, and Rhode Island.
In her free time, she enjoys traveling, exercising, cooking, journaling, and visiting her home land to see friends and family.
